Cold Forging

At Cold-Flow Corporation we manufacture industrial grade metal cold forgings that are inherently stronger than similar machined or cast parts. Our forging ability to achieve near net shape minimizes the need for many additional secondary operations. Our shop’s size suits customers needing intermediate volume production runs, tool and die services, engineering support and a single source supplier for most finishing steps. The advantages of using the cold forging process are material savings and extended die life, both of which translate into cost-savings. The work-hardening nature of the cold forming process reduces the need to heat treat the parts afterward, leading to further cost-savings. Our cold forging process can produce parts, using ferrous and non-ferrous metals that range in weight from a few ounces to parts weighing a few pounds. We are equipped to perform a variety of forging processes, including forward and backward extrusion, coining, and punching.
